Online Card and a Cuppa – Sweetly Swirled Flower Card

Apr 27, 2020 | Card Ideas, Techniques, Thank you

Today I want to share with you one of the projects that I made on today’s Online card and a cuppa. If you missed it you can watch the event here.

I go live with two projects every Monday and Wednesday at 11.00 am BST I would love you to join me so don’t forget to like my page and tune in next week. You can find me here

So today I used the wonderful Sweetly Swirled stamp set for my projects. A set that I think has not been seen too often on social media, which is such a shame as it is such a beautiful set with so many options.

The font is so pretty and I really wanted to showcase all those cute little flowers. So for my sample card I picked so bright zingy colours.

Sweetly Swirled Flower Card

The base card is made with a piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock cut at 10.5cm by 29.7cm and scored at 14.8 cm to form a card.

I put a piece of Post it note Labelling and Cover up tape and placed it across the middle of a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 10.cm by 14.3cm to form a mask. TIP: You could also use a piece of low tack masking tape. I then sponged a little of the Petal Pink Ink long each side of the tape and then stamped the flowers in the colours above.

Once the tape was removed I added a thin strip of double sided tape and stamped the sentiment in Versamark. I embossed both the sentiment and the tape using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and stuck it the base card.

These are really quick cards to make and as I’m really missing my customers right now, I plan to make a few of these to send out as happy mail this week.

Sweetly Swirled Flower Card – Alternative Colours

For my actual Facebook live I changed the colours up to be a little softer to show it really doesn’t matter what colours you chose you can get fantastic results every time! The embossing powder was switched to Silver to coordinate withe the colour scheme.

I’m going to use the second colour combo for my customer thank you cards this month. So if I have tempted you then check out the shop below. Don’t forget to use the customer reward code and you will receive a gift from me too!

Voila!
